Too long!

Just realized I have not blogged since last year! Yikes...ok, that joke never gets old. But seriously, there have been many times I had great stories to post, but something, or someone :), never gave me the chance to sit down to write. I am sure I'll have a few more great stories coming up.

Next month, my little guy turns 2! There are days where I can't believe it, and days where I am sure we've already hit being well into two-year oldness-- tantrums, tears out of nowhere, naughty spot visits...the unpleasantries of parenthood. I cherish the moments of our bedtime ritual, where Cade cuddles and lays his head down on my shoulder while we rock and sing. I crack up at the silliness of his personality and often wonder where he gets his spunk. I am enjoying the mommy/son time we spend together while big sister Alex is in preschool learning all her new tricks to teach him. Here lately, we've been playing tag around the house-- Cade mostly likes the running around part, and yelling "GO" when I say, "ready, set"...and he says GO.

We had a very blessed simple Christmas, filled with family, friends and even some snowfall. There is much to be thankful for. I am looking forward to being "simple" into the new year. Not getting caught up in all the going, but taking time to cherish each moment of the now.

Some sillies straight from Alexandra:
1) "On your march, get set, GO!"
2) singing- "We wish you ANOTHER Christmas, We wish you ANOTHER Christmas and a Happy New Year"...and there is no correcting her on this one either!

Wonderful stories! "Another Christmas", cracking me up right now!!! I'm glad you've been having a lovely holiday and I can imagine your astonishment with having two years sneak up on you--we just hit sixteen months!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE! I just HAD a baby. Sigh.

I haven't seen too many other kids that are soooooo gosh darn cute!!!! Well, maybe two or three others... As far as those comments from Alex, one can only imagine where the wit and intelligence comes from. IT HAS TO BE GENETIC!!! By the way this is an unbiased observation, and I'm one of the nicest people you're ever gonna meet, who doesn't have much but I have my integrity...
