I have been absent from blogging lately because, well, there has been a whirlwind of activity at our home. In the last week alone we sold our house (WOO-HOO! a Major accomplishment if I do say so since it is such a buyers market), I celebrated the fact that I don't have to be the cleaning maniac anymore (no more home tours!), passed our home inspection with said buyer, faced an emergency dentist run with Alex and had to have her front tooth painfully, and I do mean extremely painfully, removed. :( She fell while climbing for something on her wooden play table and knocked the edge of it while coming down. After xrays revealed the root was half out and pushed back, the only solution to avoid the possibility of a future root canal, infection and deadening, was to remove it. :(
After all the initial trauma, she is fine. She still grins ear to ear, hasn't complained of any pain or anything. I think the post trauma for momma and dad is much more difficult. It still breaks my heart when I see her smile the toothless grin, jack-o-lantern in nature. I am sad that she won't have a tooth to replace it until, gasp*groan tear-jerk, she turns approx. the age of 7 (as told by her dentist).
Until then, we have gained a new sense of personality. Once I can get over the trauma myself, I'll post a picture and tell the full dentist experience. It was FAR worse then when she fell on our stairs and had to get stitches on her chin.

Ohhhh myyyyy gooodness. Holy cow. My stomach is in knots thinking/reading about Alex's tooth. Ugh. I already know that I would be having the same issues you are. Poor little thing. I cannot imagine. Okay, so you never answered my question about why you guys were selling your house in the first place! Oh, and congratulations. That is wonderful.
