Reasonings of a 3-year old

Sometimes here lately I find myself doing a lot of reasoning with my now 3 year old little girl. In a recent "discussion" with her, she insisted that I had it wrong. She is really into those look and find books- you know, where you find a particular object in a page spread of stuff. She was counting all the mice in the picture. "No, mommy. 2 mouses, not 2 mice!" I guess we'll start the English lessons later in life...

The girl also has ears that hear all. While we were driving somewhere a few days ago, Brandon and I were discussing something together. She interupted to chime in. Brandon called her nosy. She replied, "No, I'm feet-y." This kid continues to keep us in stitches!

Christmas Cuties

Getting good shots of the kids for a Christmas card was a lot of work this year. Smile, look over here, sit still, rattle shake high, rattle shake low...whew...Thankfully, we got some pretty great shots...can't you just see how much Alex loves Cade?

10 Months

Dear little Cade,

How and when did you turn 10 months old??? I know I have been with you these last 10 months of outside womb life, but the days just seem to keep slipping away so fast. You keep growing and changing so much it is hard for this mother to keep up! I cherish each day with you, each pre-bedtime rock, each tubby, each new adventure.

This month you got yet another tooth. It is hard to believe your little mouth already has so many teeth but you just keep getting them. You have an even set for the moment- 4 on top and 4 on bottom. You still prefer to put those to use on fruits, cheese and cheerios. The look you gave me when I dare tried to get you to eat mixed baby mush veggies was priceless. Guess you don't like those at all! I really can't blame you...

You also started to explore the room this month...you are a master of the army crawl. You've figure out how to sit up from laying down and how to go for it when you see something you want. You squeal with delight when Alex cheers you on. You look pretty cute inch worming around the house. Sorry I couldn't let you chew on those Christmas tree ornaments you REALLY wanted. I gotta stick to some rules.

You still sleep like a champion. You even let mommy and daddy slip away for several date nights this past month...well, ok, you didn't know we were out since you were fast asleep, but thanks for being so cooperative and consistent. It makes sneaking out possible!

You are still are super sensitive to loud noises just like your big sister. Just like I tell Alex, don't worry the vaccuum will never get you.

You just started doing this cute little head shake- no no thing. It is down right adorable! Even the nursery ladies think so and made mention of the cute little way you flirted it to them. You've also figured out how to put your left fingers in a fan fashion and bumble your lips up and down. We play that game a lot, sometimes even in the wee hours of the morning. You must dream about it in your sleep too.

You still give strangers the "serious look" which makes me hold tight to you all the more. You don't need to flash those sweet grins at just anyone...save them for me!

Cade, you are really growing up so fast. You'll be walking before I can say it and talking in no time. But remember, even with all the new things to learn and all the growing to do, you will always be my little love bug. I love you. - Momma

Giggles

Our weather has been weird lately. Today, while on our way to get the car washed, Alex told me, while sitting in the backseat in her new car seat, that it looked really "froggy" out today...Cute! She has heard me say "foggy" in the past.

Tagged!

Blogging is great. It allows me to keep up with people I can't see day to day, and makes me feel like I get to see them. I was recently "tagged" by my friend Amy...so here it goes...

MY
3 things...

3 Things that scare me:
